A 2013 Library of Congress survey ranked it the seventh most influential book in American history. Generations of business leaders, entrepreneurs, teachers, and others have credited the book with shaping the way they communicate.

It is, by almost any measure, a phenomenon.

And for a long time I refused to read it.
